Bridge over the Kuttenbach

The Kuttenbach rises north of Krekel at an altitude of 601.5 m above sea level. NHN in the nature reserve Sistiger Heide, which is also called Krekeler Heide. From here the creek flows steadily to the north-east and after a short run reaches the district of Diefenbach. Its stream valley then separates the districts of Gillenberg on the right and Steinfelderheistert on the left. Its slopes are soon covered with forest and on the right is the deciduous forest nature reserve on the Kuttenbach below the Steinfeld district with the Steinfeld monastery on the upper slope bend. The Kuttenbachtal is a quiet and idyllic place with a small stream. You cross it on the way from Steinfeld Monastery to Steibruch von Rinnen

The Kuttenbach has (because the stream bed is blocked by flotsam) looked for a new bed without further ado - with a waterfall. Right next to it: The St. Hermann-Josef spring.
