St. Mark's Parish Church stands directly on the main street on a terraced embankment between the western entrance to the town, diagonally opposite Reinhartshausen Castle, and the market square.
Coming from Hattenheim to Erbach, you can see the slender steeple of the listed Catholic parish church from afar. It was built towards the end of the 16th century as a three-aisled hall church and expanded in the 18th century. In the church cemetery, there is a crucifixion group by the Mainz sculptor Hans Backoffen. 🚴♂️
