It's August and it feels like a bitter September ....That was the last shining August:
Summer culminated that day.
And happiness sounded like a sea legend
in the veneer depths of our breasts.A faint distant bell came gone -
and who wanted to see the towers themselves,
in which bells of our happiness rang:
the flood and the sky made them understand so clearly. The day sank. With him Vineta's hour.
September became the world, the heart, the happiness.
An intoxication only remained as if from tones
and still raves about the secret ground.Christian Morgenstern

The big mountainA veil blows on my mountain
Drop, drop blink.
All of them open their lips
To drink from the cool water. Now the sun flows through clearly:
The great mountain is a bride
Who looks smiling through tears
And around the world
Dewed with their sheen.Emanuel of Bodman

© Evelyn SchützWe wanted her at all costs
now she is here and sends with diligence
her rays are scorching hot,
sweat runs out of every pore,
the thermometer as evidence
shows thirty-eight degrees in the shade,
we flow away, are exhausted,
moan loudly and swear softly
and wish us in the eternal ice.

The waters love to travel
and stream in the river.
They whisper to you, splash softly,
may follow the waves wise
your mind is directed into the distance.Sail there with sleek ships,
billowing white sails in the wind,
that blows wildly in your hair too.
You look at the sky, the clear one
a wanderlust drunk child. You can only stay landlubber,
There are hardly any foreign adventures.
However, your imagination will drive you
and let you write down stories
in which then your dream will come true.

Corpus ChristiThe sun shines high in the sky
Down on the green hag
All hearts well up joyously,
Today is Corpus Christi Day!Far away the bell rings from the tower,
Solemn, with power and sound,
Awakens in the meditative mind
Sweet longing, deep urge. And the heart wants to rise
About faint-heartedness, fear and need,
Swing to blue heights
Fearing not life and death! If we had the power of faith
Like crystal so solid and pure
Life would be easier
Poor, deceptive appearance. But we walk dreary and dreary
Through the dark valley of the earth
Instead of preparing us intimately
For a divine Lord's Supper.In life's vain struggle
Our soul becomes numb
And in the proud flight of the spirit
The wings will soon become blunt. . -Be what must! But let's once
Be free, pure in heart;
As if to pray, ringing a bell,
Increase your inner being!Bring whatever you find flowers!
The Hag shines in summer gold -
Adorn yourselves with the gold of joy:
Today is Corpus Christi Day!Fritz Lemmermayer
