The Roman Catholic St. Francis Church was built between 1925 and 1926 by Richard Steidle according to plans by the architect Franz-Xaver Boemmel. The church was hit by bombs during the air raids on September 6th and 7th, 1943. The roof with the nave burned out and broke through into the interior of the church. Only the outer walls and the church towers remained standing. The church was rebuilt by 1951.

Catholic parish church of St. Francis built in neo-baroque style. There are two church towers to the east of the church building. In 1920 the first emergency church stood on the same street, consecrated by Michael von Faulhaber. At that time it was already dedicated to St. Francis. This church was built in 1925/26 and was consecrated on October 3, 1926, on the 700th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
