The St. Martin Chapel is one of the oldest churches in Meissen. Surrounded by the cemetery, which is still in use today, the simple, Romanesque hall church can be seen from far above Meissen.

The small, well laid out, manageable cemetery with a beautiful, small Martin's chapel is in a very beautiful, quiet location on Poetenweg on the mountain with a very beautiful view of the Elbe valley and the Meissen railway bridge. This place is a nice highlight to linger and marvel at.
Martin's chapel dates from the middle of the 12th century. There are 4 graves of the Militz family from Siebeneichen Castle.
The other dead Catholic Miltitze are in the park of Siebeneichen. Only the Protestants were buried in the Martinsfriedhof.
