Economic life used to rage in the Baybachtal. Numerous mills were in operation there. They drew their energy from the brook. Each of the communities involved had one or more farm mills in the valley. 32 mills stood from the source in Hausbay to the mouth in castles on the Moselle. You will pass the following mills during your dream loop hike in the Upper Baybach Valley. Many have been lovingly renovated and can hardly be recognized today from the historical photos.
