De Gorzen is a park located on the east side of Ridderkerk, between the Nieuwe Veer and the Nieuwe haven. The nature and recreation park De Gorzen is a former waste dump with an area of 40 hectares. As a result of all kinds of activities and circumstances, it has been transformed into a hilly nature reserve with many water features in a period of half a century. This area is located next to the Ridderkerkse griend.
