After its founding, the EKHN's church administration was housed in various emergency quarters. In the mid-1950s, EKHN had the opportunity to acquire the former Hessische Landeshypothekenbank building on Paulusplatz in Darmstadt at a reasonable price. In 1959 the church administration and church leadership moved in. After the war, the building's original rich decoration gave way to a clear design of the rooms. In 1980, an extension on Wittmannstrasse gave the ever-growing administration some breathing room. After a renovation of the house, Paulusplatz 1 has been the seat of a modern and efficient administration since 2003.
