The Gelber Punkt hiking trail leads along the route of the Freital-Potschappel-Nossen narrow-gauge railway.

Although the route itself is a very good connection between Freital and the rest of the way to Wilsdruff, the traffic management in the upper section is in great need of improvement. Today, most of the former route is reused as a cycling or hiking path. The entire sections from Nossen to Wilsdruff and from Kesselsdorf to Freital-Potschappel are accessible by bicycle. Some sections, like a large portion of the former bus shelters, have been completely demolished and returned to agricultural use.
