Hiking

This church was built in 1852-1853, probably based on a design by Louis Minard. In 1899, the church was extended based on a design by Hendrik Geirnaert. The church was withdrawn from worship in 2021. The municipality of Maarkedal became the owner of the building.

Hiking

Louise Marie is a parish village on the territory of Ronse (with which it was not merged, however, because of facilities for the French speakers). The village was named after the first queen of the Belgians, Louise-Marie of Orléans (1812 - 1850). The foundation stone of the Church of Our Lady of La Salette coincided with the first anniversary of her death.
