It consists of a double lock on the right bank, a three-span weir, and a hydroelectric power station on the left bank. The facility was originally built in the 1930s and later modernized to optimize lock operation and energy generation.A special highlight is the lock and weir bridge, which offers a wonderful view of the Neckar River and the surrounding area. However, you should be free from vertigo, as the bridge is made of gratings that allow you to look directly into the depths.

The Guttenbach Dam is an interesting destination on the hike. It regulates the Neckar River and offers a beautiful view. The area around the dam is quiet and idyllic, a perfect place to stop for a moment and enjoy the scenery.
