Unfortunately, the keep is closed and you only get up the wooden stairs. But you still have a good view of the old nuclear power plant Obrigheim.

Dauchstein Castle was built around 1100 in the Stauffer period as a customs castle over the Neckar. Customs were levied on passing ships on the Neckar. In addition, a chain was stretched across the river. More history on the board on site.
The castle is privately owned. There are guided tours. Not at the moment because of Covod-19.

Path closed to the apple orchard, but walkable "at your own risk". There was just a tree fallen over. The fact that the way is now less committed, nature conquers him back slowly.
