A short, but nevertheless impressive gorge in the small Odenwald. The rugged and very steep gorge is hardly expected in the rather gentle Odenwald and the trail is not quite as alpine as the numerous warning signs announce it, but it is unusually steep and rocky. Definitely worth a detour, the entire circular route takes barely an hour.

  • A really nice gorge. It is natural and quite easy to walk, as it is secured with steel cables. With a stroller, however, not recommended :)

  • Here at the lower entrance of the gorge you are greeted by waterfalls provided there is enough water

  • Absolute recommendation. With prams, however, not possible, as easier "climbing passages" wait.

  • The Margaretensteig is secured and very passable, but not in the wet, as there is a risk of slipping on the stones. Very beautiful there...

  • The cascades in the Margaret Gorge form the highest waterfall in the Odenwald. The stream is crossed by the trail in several places, there are steep passages and short climbs are also necessary. Therefore, sure-footedness and appropriate footwear should be available.
Ideally, you can choose a dry day out to visit the gorge - hot summer days are an option, as it is very pleasant here due to the shade and the evaporation cold.

  • The Margaret Gorge (also Margaret Gorge) is a gorge in the Odenwald Buntsandstein in the district of the municipality of Neckargerach between Mosbach and Eberbach am Neckar, about 1.5 kilometers south-east of Neckargerach.

The gorge is very easy to walk on, secured with ropes. You should have sure-footedness and a head for heights. In some places you have to walk across the creek. Therefore it can also be very slippery.

  • In the approx. 300 m long gorge, the Flursbach loses approx. 110 in height. There are 5 waterfall levels. The lowest has a height of 10m and thus forms the highest waterfall in the Odenwald. Very worthwhile.
