The domain was first mentioned in a document around 1329 in a curie of the Michaelstein monastery. It is reasonable to assume that it is a farm yard of Blankenburg Castle that is connected to the Michaelstein monastery courtyard. Around 1489 the domain was called "Klosterhof in der Drenkestraten".
In 2012, the drinking and sewage association Blankenburg and the surrounding area took over the fate of the domain complex and ended the further decline of the valuable cultural and historical building fabric. Today they have their administrative headquarters here.

The two-story solid building, which dominates the street front, stands on a site that was confiscated as a monastery property during the Reformation, complete with a courtyard and storage building.
