The well-signposted, easy to moderately difficult hiking tour 2 "cliff tour" can be done from the good tourist information office in Blankenburg in a good 3.5 hours and covers approx. 12 km. The paths are easy to walk on and are also feasible for families with children from the age of 8. The nature of the paths is forest, gravel paths, forest management paths. On the way, ponds, the two cliff views, the Rübelandbahn, the mining remains and the "Otto-Ebert-Brücke" bridge over the tracks offer variety. We only met a few on the route during the week. For me personally, the paths were often too wide because of forest management paths. Bring a picnic, no food available on the way. A nice tour, especially with the big castle at the end.
