One station from Zwätze to Porstendorf by train and then walk back on the horizontal line of the Saale. The brief downpour can be tolerated well under trees. But it always rains twice in the forest. 😅 The goal today was a stop at Nachtigall Nudel. Delicious food and an ice cream on hand on the way back to the car. Really highly recommended.
Allegedly, the Burschenplatz resting place should have been located on this path today, recommended by 12 hikers. I didn't see anything. 😮 Very strange .... 😆

Strengthened by a great breakfast at Holl and Boll's, (highly recommended, also to stay one day longer) I started today's stage. The weather was great, only cloudy now and then. The Hexenstieg from Buntenbock to Altenau is basically really nice. Thanks to "Harzer Wasserregal" there are babbling brooks, ditches and many ponds everywhere. I deviated from the path twice to collect stamps, but then always took the shortest route back to the Hexenstieg. The many bald spots and cleared slopes put a strain on the mind. Why do individual tree skeletons remain in each field? 🤔
Today on a weekday, of course, machines were also at work with tree clearing work. The Hexenstieg is therefore also affected by diversions. On my way back in the bus, the whole trip to Goslar was the same.
Speaking of the bus, mine just didn't come again, it never works for me. 😉😒 Had to wait an hour for the next one in the dreary Altenau and then hopefully arrive home after 4 changes at 10.30 p.m. 🙄
At the next opportunity, continue from Altenau towards Brocken. 🚶♀️👣🥾

On the spur of the moment, this weekend went to the Hexenstieg. I'll run the first two stages until tomorrow. Getting to Osterode by train is quite an adventure, but what the heck. Right at the beginning, it went steadily uphill today. But I made it today without rain. The views are great, but you can't look past the sick and cut trees. 😒
Before Buntenbock I turned onto the Bautenstieg to take the stamp on the Kuckholzklippe with me. 😉 The mountain from Lerbach up there was another announcement. But before that there was Klara's heights view as a gift. 🤩 I'm not on the tower, the turmoil was too big for me.
Finally, a round around the Prinzenteich 🤴 at Buntenbock and then have a nice dinner in the village. Great recommendation. I did not expect in the small town.

The rest of our hike today. Unfortunately I forgot my batteries. 😏 So I rebuilt it quickly. We leave the Saalehorizontale over the Münchenrodaer Straße on a small path on the slope and cross the Erfurter Straße in the Mühltal to climb the slope again on the other side. The path above the Mühltal in the direction of the paper mill is currently a dream of blooming clouds. 😁😁 Wig bushes are blooming in abundance here. No comparison to what you see in gardens. Then at the paper mill again over the Erfurter Straße and on the Lommerweg into the city to an ice cream parlor. Then by bus back towards Ammerbach where our car is.

Today, with my 8th stage, I mostly completed the circumnavigation on the paths of the horizontal planes of the Saale. The award for the horizontal extension of the hall is wonderful. Especially at the end after the Bismarck Tower to the paper mill, wonderfully lonely hiking trails. I didn't even know the last stretch over Münchenrodaer Strasse. Again great views and nice benches to rest and look into the distance. The core mountains around Jena are always worthwhile. You always find ways that you haven't walked yet.
The second part of this tour will follow immediately afterwards. Forgot my batteries and had to rebuild. 🙄😂
Oh yes, somehow I no longer get the tours that you go. 😣 Only your comments on my tours. Does anybody else feel like this?

Tour number 3 from this wonderful hiking guide. First of all, I only walked the way there, but extended it by a bit. I left out the way back via Lachstedt and Schmiedehausen. I don't have to do that to myself in the heat.
Most of the hike takes place on shady, secluded forest paths. Of course there is always a piece of sunshine there, the longest from Kaatschen to Großheringen on the bike path. But on the whole very pleasant at these temperatures. The greatest thing is always that the author knows beautiful hidden paths that you would not have hiked in life without this knowledge. In addition to these precise details, not much can happen. Of course, many hiking trails are no longer maintained, the signs are missing, etc. But we got through it astonishingly well. Camburg with its great viewpoints is definitely recommended. After stopping at Kaatschen bei Zahn's, we took the train from Großheringen back to Camburg and from there we walked through the Schleuskauer Grund to Rodameuschel.
