The observation hut at the Berngrundsee was named after the long-time chairman Werner Weber. In the hut, some information about the history of the Berngrund and the bird species is pinned to the wooden wall. There you will also find information on how to contact NABU Rödermark.

There are two lookouts in the hut that can be closed with a flap. The wide "slits" give you a good view of the protected area and the bird life. Are mentioned inter alia. Reed warbler, moorhen, kingfisher and cuckoo.

The people from NABU also use the hut for observation themselves and do not enter the biotope during the breeding and setting times. Outside of these times, the NABU Group is generally ready for tours.
