Mountain biking

At the beginning of the 21st century, a group of dedicated citizens of Rödermark, led by the Hessian State Archeologist Professor Egon Schallmayer, set about reconstructing these testimonies of the past. For this purpose, the burial mounds were piled up to their assumed original height and planted. In addition, a group of figures made by the artist Kai Wujanz made of metal, which represents a Celtic funeral procession. At the head of the group is a druid with a raised sword. He is followed by the hearse pulled by a bull and a funeral parish of three people.

Cycling

A nice view at this point; a reconstructed section of the "Hohe Straße" Roman road, in connection with the installation of a Celtic funeral procession, which focuses on the funerary ritual of a Hallstatt-era warrior. This against the backdrop of two restored grave mounds, makes the place overall worth seeing. Certainly not a day's destination for a longer distance, but a detour when you're in the vicinity is certainly worth it.
