The "Wehrley of Runkel" is a rocky, partly wooded valley slope along the northern Lahnufer between Runkel and Villmar. In this nature reserve grow rare plant species, mosses and ferns. The rocky, sun-warmed slopes provide a structurally rich habitat for bird species and reptiles.

In midsummer or on a very sunny day a good shady alternative than along the river. Awesome view over the valley.
