Where the valley of the Maelbeek used to be, green spaces were created on the Ambiorix, the Maria-Louise and the Margaretasquares.
The Square Ambiorix consists mainly of fountains and lawns, while the greenery along the Maria-Louise Square was poured into romantic gardens around water features (waterfall, pond and fountains). On the Margaret Square, there is room for sports and games, although there is also a water feature and a pergola for less active visitors.
