On June 24, 1632, the Swedish king Gustav Adolf stayed here. The Ackerbürgerhaus is also the house where Elias Peißner was born on September 5, 1825. In 1848 Lola Montez, an influential lover with luxurious taste of Ludwig I, is said to have stayed with the Peißner family. That same Elias also had a relationship with Lola. In any case, the liaison cost Ludwig I, among other things, his royal dignity. After participating in the revolution of 1848/1849, Elias Peißner fled to the USA, where he died in the American Civil War in 1863.
