Please check local regulations for: Hobokense Polder
The Hobokense Polder owes its name to the former polder area that stretched along the banks of the Scheldt: low-lying land that was regularly flooded and was cultivated by modest farmers. Since the embankments, which were carried out from the 1960s onwards, that area has permanently disappeared. A new landscape has emerged, a landscape that is still constantly changing due to the rapid evolution of flora and fauna.

Trudging through the city's polder - Polder City Hoboken
The Hobokense Polder is one of the most beautiful green spots in Antwerp. The perfect place to immerse yourself in nature for a few hours and escape the hustle and bustle of life.
In the varied landscape of polders, swamps and shrubs you will always come across Galloway cows...
A decking path helps you bridge wet strips. Frogs and salamanders frolic in the water. A heron stands motionless among the reeds… ready for a snack.
You can spot rare birds at the bird watching walls at the lakes. This is a moment for you and what is happening in your field of vision. A beautiful setting with so much to discover, is colored differently every season. The main characters also change sometimes.
In short, a place where you can spontaneously relax.
An unknown pearl in the southern edge of Antwerp is highly recommended to discover.
Various hiking trails, ranging from 1 to 7.5 km, take you through a special landscape. Wearing waterproof footwear is recommended.
A tip for romantic souls: everything looks even more beautiful at sunset…
The Scheldt dike is always recommended to end.
