Mountaineering Highlight
The Hölltobel leads from the idyllic Trettachtal past Oberstdorf up to the old, abandoned mountain village Gerstruben in Dietersbachtal. The four kilometers through the Trettachtal can be covered on foot, by bicycle or bus (exit Christlessee). At Mumme-Stüble behind Dietersberg turn left and go up 200 meters in altitude through Hölltobel. The path through the Tobel is steep and requires sure-footedness. It goes over rocks, always along the ice-cold stream and sometimes through it. There are beautiful waterfalls to admire on the approximately 2 kilometer long path. Arriving at the top, Gerüstben beckons as a reward, where there is a restaurant.

A truly rustic and impressive trail through the forest, past waterfalls and wild ravines.
You have to be careful when it rains, then everything is really slippery and dangerous here.

Wild and romantic ravine path with wonderful viewing platforms on the waterfalls. A wonderful ascent to the mountain village of Gerstruben!

A viewing platform provides the best view of the imposing waterfalls of the Hölltobel. A bit of a head for heights is part of it.
