A very impressive castle in an unusual ensemble.
To the remnants of the old water castle came a castle in the style of the Renaissance.
The castle is being reconstructed and we hope to visit it someday.
The park was planned and implemented by a pupil of "Pückler". A very nice, spacious park.

The castle, which is absolutely worth seeing, goes back to an early German moated castle. The Altdöbern palace complex is one of the most important castles of the Saxon Rococo and was built in 1717. Between 1880 and 1883 the complex received its final appearance. The ensemble includes a portal, a forecourt with cavalier houses, a stables, an orangery and the farm buildings of the former estate. In the associated park you will find the “French Garden”, the 13 hectare “salt pond”, numerous water features and sculptures.
