Weltenbummler, Naturerkunder, selbst und ständig – und seit 1996 leidenschaftlicher Rennradfahrer. Fünf Rennräder haben mich in dieser Zeit begleitet, zwei davon stehen heute noch bei mir im Einsatz.

Seit dem Frühjahr 2013 bewege ich mein FOCUS Izalco Pro 2.0 mit SRAM Red 2×10 über die Straßen. Im Winter 2020/2021 kam ein italienischer Klassiker hinzu: ein CARRERA SL 950, aufgebaut mit einer Campagnolo Record 2×12. Ganz frisch ergänzt seit Juni 2026 ein weiteres Schmuckstück meine Sammlung: ein WILIER VERTICALE SLR mit Campagnolo Super Record WRL S 2×12.

Jedes Jahr versuche ich, im Schnitt 6.000 bis 7.000 Kilometer auf dem Rennrad zu sammeln – ein Ziel, das sich nicht immer problemlos mit Selbstständigkeit, Zeit und Wetter vereinbaren lässt. Seit dem Jahr 2000 dokumentiere ich jede gefahrene Strecke konsequent: früher in Excel, heute digital über Radcomputer und Komoot.

Über viele Rennradsommer hinweg hat sich so meine persönliche Gesamtdistanz angesammelt: seit dem 08.10.2026 stehen mehr als 200.000 Kilometer auf meinem Tacho.
