Jan Heweliusz Monument in Gdańsk. The scientist's sculpture was situated at Korzenna Street, opposite the Old Town Hall. Jan Heweliusz exists in the public consciousness as an outstanding astronomer. But as well as on the moon (he became famous in astronomy thanks to the maps of the moon), he knew beer. He was an outstanding brewer, a guild master of brewers, coming from an old, Lutheran family from Gdańsk, who owned many breweries.
