The landscape near the base camp captivates with its expanse and simplicity. First along the Khumbu Glacier, the first snowfields appear on your way. It is impressive that despite the altitude (around 5,000 m), some grass is still growing for the animals. Speaking of animals, you'll notice that they get slower the higher you get. They have to get used to the level just as much as our bodies do.
