Tips
The Bevertalsperre is very good to migrate. There are a variety of beautiful bays with easy access to the shoreline. Above all, the northern side captivates by ufernahe hiking trails and very nice bathing or resting places. When hiking, the tours should be made quite extensive, since the nearby roads are subject to relatively heavy traffic and are more problematic for hikers to commit.

The reservoir does not contain drinking water, but is used for flood protection, low water elevation and as an overflow for the neighboring Neyetalsperre. Bevertalsperre and Neyetalsperre are therefore connected by a tunnel, known as the Bever block.
