The Mariahilf viewpoint is located at the Mariahilf monastery in Passau-Mariahilf. It offers a view from the south of Passau's old town and the Ilzstadt with (among other things) St. Stephen's Cathedral, the town hall tower, the study church, the Schaiblingsturm, the Veste Oberhaus including the battlements and Niederhaus as well as the Ortspitze. Near the viewpoint is the carved sculpture "Jesus on the Rest".
Directly opposite the Mariahilf viewpoint is the Oberhaus viewpoint on the Georgsberg.
