For my personal highlight of the Alps crossing, I had to get up early. Started around 7:38 AM, through fog and morning dew up to the pass with the rising sun. Dreamlike weather. Dreamlike roads and many road cyclists, many friendly motorcyclists and mostly considerate car drivers. The final ascent ends

The ascent to Col du Télégraph had a lot of traffic towards Valloire, normal and touristy.
Then to Col du Galibier there was only more tourist traffic, motorcycles and motorhomes.

A green MTB stands in the cellar and always looks very sad when the road bikes are allowed out.
