The transmission tower is the westernmost transmitter in Germany and is only a few meters from the German-Belgian border. The 133m high tower was completed in 1974. Structurally, it corresponds to a model that was built many times in Germany. Due to its location on the ridge above the Aachen valley, it forms a striking landmark from many corners in and around Aachen. The name "Mulleklenkes" - roughly the "chattering little finger" - couldn't be better chosen for a transmission tower :-)

The Mulleklenkes is located in the middle of the forest up on the Karlshöhe. One of the many hiking trails makes it easy to get there and back in a varied way
