Sollte man jeden Fall besuchen, wenn man in der Gegend ist. Am besten individuell, also ohne Führung, und viel Zeit mitbringen. Es ist einfach so imposant. Ich weiß nicht was beeindruckender ist - die Stadt an sich oder die Tatsache das man sie in dem Umfang wieder ausgraben konnte bzw. auch immer noch weitere Teile freilegt…

Im Rahmen einer Stadtführung und hinterher noch frei erkundet. Eine wirklich schöne Stadt und nicht so touristisch überlaufen wie andere an der Küste. Sehenswert ist auf jeden Fall die Kathedrale, Bekannt als der Ort, an dem die sterblichen Überreste von Papst Gregor VII und dem Apostel und Evangelisten Matthäus aufbewahrt werden. Auch die Strandpromenade und rund um den Hafen ist alles relativ neu und schön angelegt.
