At this location, on Boomsestraat, you will become acquainted with one of the fifty historic tunnels that the brickmakers built in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Historical interpretation: The brickmakers used the tunnels to transport clay and dried bricks, from the clay pit to the machine hall and the kilns. Today, most tunnels can be found under the connecting roads of the Rupel region: the Nielsestraat, the Boomsestraat, the Kapelstraat and the railway. They paint a unique picture of the industrial past in this region.

Nice passage, about 1m80 high. If you want to return to the main road afterwards, turn right after the tunnel and then right again. The road to the left after the tunnel is a dead end.
