Historical interpretation: The brickmakers used the tunnels to transport clay and dried bricks, from the clay pit to the machine hall and the kilns. Today, most tunnels can be found under the connecting roads of the Rupel region: the Nielsestraat, the Boomsestraat, the Kapelstraat and the railway. They paint a unique picture of the industrial past in this region.
