The Arp Museum consists of 2 buildings:

The historic Rolandseck train station and the new building

historic train station: dating from the Rhine Romantic era in the 1850s, an elegant building despite its size. Rolandseck used to be the end point of the railway line coming from Cologne; you had to change to the ship from here

New building: built in 2007 by the American architect Richard Meier (trademark: white buildings in the style of Le Corbusier): A fantastic light-flooded building with contemporary/modern art. Entrance via Rolandseck train station. The upper modern part of the museum is accessed via an elevator.
Absolutely recommended!!!

The restaurant/café on the first floor of the historic train station is also great, but you don't always get a seat spontaneously. It is therefore advisable to make a reservation
