An impressive sight is the Muckross House with its garden, which is known far beyond the borders of Ireland. The impressive structure is part of Irish architectural history, but is also one of the most interesting sights in the country. The garden with its diverse plants is ideal for walks.

If you don't necessarily want to see the Muckross House from the inside, you should only come here in the evening.
We got here around 7pm and were almost alone. We were able to take photos without tourists. The house and the garden are very worth seeing.

The former stately home Muckross House (Irish Teach Mhucrois) has served as a museum since it was donated to the Irish state in 1932. The rooms and their furnishings give a good impression of the life of the nobles in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Muckross House and Gardens are open daily all year round (except the Christmas period).
Muckross House is open 9am - 5.30pm (9am - 7pm from July 1st - August 31st).
