Spacious park on the edge of Killarney. Highly recommended is a visit to the nearby Ross Castle.

Fully restored gardens are best seen in full spring or summer. The house has been transformed into a national park education center, with photographic exhibits on the ground floor and interactive natural history exhibits on the floor above. Hours: Summer: 08.30-19.30 Winter: 09.00-17.30, 7 days a week with exceptions for holidays

Parking: There is a paid parking lot just outside the north entrance on Mission Rd.

The gardens were part of the Killarney House estate, which was sold to the Irish state by Mr McShain in 1978. Since then the gardens have been part of Killarney National Park.
There are some beautifully landscaped flower beds in the extensive complex.
