The arsenal was built from 1849 to 1856 and contained 31 objects. 177 million bricks were used to build the arsenal. From 1869 to 1907 the arsenal housed the k.u.k. Artillery Cadet School. Today, some objects are used as apartments, some objects are used by various universities (TU, BOKU), the Army History Museum and various institutions.
