Every year, families with children, but also all other interested and committed Viennese are invited to actively participate in the "Forest of the Young Viennese" reforestation campaign and to contribute to the creation of a new forest. Around 10,000 new native trees and shrubs such as oaks, lindens and maples are being planted in areas with little forest. Foresters from the City of Vienna help plant the trees and provide information about the forest habitat.
