Visible from afar and slightly elevated, the neo-Gothic building of the village church in Linum towers above the surrounding houses. The church was completed in 1868. The stepped gables on the nave (with stork's nest) and tower are particularly magnificent. The crown on the top of the tower was a gift to the village of Linum from Friedrich I in 1711, who often stayed here to hunt black grouse. The church is on the Way of St. James and is always a magnet for pilgrims.

The first neo-Gothic building in Germany was built on the instructions of Frederick the Great in Potsdam, the Nauener Tor.
