The Powder Tower is a southwest corner tower of the city fortifications of Linz am Rhein. The powder tower was built with the rest of the city fortifications between 1302 and 1329. It was used to store gunpowder. The round tower has been preserved to this day, while the nearby Leetor and much of the rest of the city's defenses were demolished in 1861.
