The initiative came because the pandemic weighs heavily on mental resilience and is sending a wave of grief and pain through the population. They are usually beautiful places in the green where people can find peace and hope. The spots are often characterized by a commemorative plaque, a poem and a bed of flower bulbs. They symbolize the resilience and resilience of people.
There are now more than 300 comfort spots in Flanders.
