There must have been goblins at work here: there are numerous towers made of slate, a few sayings on slate boards and a heart made of natural materials. You can look at the whole thing from a newly installed bench.

The self-proclaimed goblin village is a place where "goblins" have built stone towers. The reason is primarily cultural and religious. Some cairns serve as a waymarker/border point. In Scandinavia they are associated with the popular belief in evil trolls, hence the name "goblin village". Take the time to stack a pile of stones too!

Layered slate and house-like formations as far as the eye can see. There could only have been goblins at work who are sure to return to their village at dusk;)
