The originating from the Middle Ages Laurentius church on the outskirts direction Lüneburg was in earlier times, the church belonging to the parish Dahlenburg outdoor villages. At the time of the French occupation it was profaned around 1803 and has not been used by the church ever since, although it still belongs to the community. In it since 1928 is the local museum, which has a focus on the wars of liberation and the Battle of the Göhrde.

In addition to the old chapel, you can also find the memorial stones for the victims of World War II.

The field stone building from the 13th century is the last remnant of the "Dahlen-Burg" and has survived the turmoil of the centuries, from the 30-year war, looting and occupation by Napoleonic troops at the beginning of the 19th century to its conversion to the Museum of local history survived well from 1928. Today there are interesting exhibitions such as the history of the "Göhrdeschlacht"
