Agios Nikolaos Church with Bell Tower and Minaret, Chania

A very exciting building is today's orthodox church "Ágios Nikólaos". It was built as a Catholic church and belonged to a Dominican order, but was converted into a mosque in 1645, which the minaret still reveals today. After the Ottomans left Crete, the building was used again as a Christian - but this time Greek Orthodox - church. So she got a bell tower on her left side, which of course looks kind of strange today.

The church has a bell tower and minaret. Unique in Greece.
