The Ameide in Detmold is a wonderful promenade and bike mile along the Schloßgraben in Detmold! As an extension of the Friedrichtaler Canal (also called Wallgraben), this section offers cyclists the opportunity to bypass Detmold's pedestrian zone. You will be spoiled with wonderful surroundings, many highlights such as museums and art as well as some gastronomy. The entire section is a tolerance zone, i.e. Cyclists and walkers show consideration for each other.
The section begins on the "Bruchberg" and ends directly in front of the Lippe State Theater in the Rosental. One of the most beautiful of many beautiful corners in Detmold ;-)

With or without a bike, it is really one of the most beautiful sections within Detmold's old town. The Lippe State Museum halfway through is also definitely worth a visit!
