The wall stood just behind it. All of the houses in the Märkisches Viertel were very close to the wall. In the past, you could always hear the dogs patrolling the wall and the squeaking of the tram in Wilhelmsruh/Rosenthal.

Hiking

Sculpture of a four meter high metal bird looking over a segment of wall. It was created during an art project by Reinickendorfer primary school classes with the Scottish artist George Wyllie in 1988, but could not stand permanently on the wall. Since 2009, the plant has been in the place it was always intended for.
