Water distribution took place at this point. Water from the Bielenwieser Watercourse flowed from the Sperberhaier Dam. It flowed under the former railway bridge to the Mönchsthaler Watercourse, over which it then reached the Oberhaus Herzberger Teich (Upper House Herzberger Pond). This was the first and longest-operating discharge point of the dam ditch system.
After the 630 m long Franz Auguster Watercourse was dredged opposite in the first third of the 19th century, the dam ditch water could be transported via the shortest route to the Untert. Pfauenteich (Lower Pfauenteich). The remaining section of the dam ditch and the Mönchsthaler Watercourse remained in operation. The 2.15 km long Elisabether Ditch from the Oberhaus Herzberger Teich (Upper House Herzberger Pond) to the Untert. Pfauenteich (Lower Pfauenteich) was no longer needed. The Franz Auguster Watercourse runs under the area of the former Tanne factory.

Always interesting, what you invented everything for the mining!

One of the many attractions around the Oberhaz water shelf. One should take the time to look at the signs all over the place.
