The Sprenger, also called Lenhardsturm, was built on the west side of the medieval fortification around 1500. Its four floors have been inhabited since the 19th century. Since the tower was not inhabited for several years, its condition has progressively deteriorated. Since the renovation in 1997, it has returned to its original size. To the north is a section of the city wall that has been preserved. It was named after the former mayor Philipp Sprenger and a Lenhardt family.
