In 1926, the Bad Steben Winter Sports Club built the first ski jump on the "Leithe" river near Carlsgrün, allowing jumps of up to 20 meters.

In 1952, a larger wooden inrun tower was constructed and the landing slope was re-profiled. In 1968, the wooden tower was demolished due to dilapidation and rebuilt in 1987. In 1994, the facility was covered with plastic matting. This made ski jumping possible even in summer.

Vladěna Pustková from the Czech Republic, set in 2004, holds the women's record with 60.0 meters. [3]

As a high-level event, an international night jumping event with world and Olympic champions from what was then Czechoslovakia took place in 1988. [3]

A renovation of the ski jump was uncertain because the owners association, the Bad Steben winter sports club, had dissolved at the beginning of 2012. [4]

With the decision of the municipal council of Bad Steben on November 3, 2014, the inrun should be blown up in 2014 with the support of the technical relief organization. The jump tower should remain as undamaged as possible so that it can be used for other purposes in the future.
