We started at the Höllentalangerhütte and walked up the Rindersteig to the Osterfelderkopf. With 12 kilos on the back it was pretty sporty but doable. Great view and a well-made path.

Mountaineering

In many curves and wooden steps, the cattle trail from the Osterfeldkopf via the Höllentor (also called Rinderscharte) leads steeply down to the Höllentalangerhütte. The climb is not too spectacular - surefooted, good footwear and freedom from giddiness provided! - but offers great insights and insights into the fascinating and varied landscape.
